Brodie sat in one of the hospital bed his arm splinted to his side waiting for one of the mediwitches to come into the room. He'd been practicing his quidditch skills with his twin brother when a wild bludger caught him in the side sending him flying off his broom and crashing into the ground. Beside being knocked out cold Brodie suffered from shortness of breath he was going to guess was caused by a cracked rib or two and, the broken arm which was now turning interesting shades of blue and purple. There was a gash above his left eye, but that had basically stopped bleeding now anyways. Letting the air our of his lungs in an exagerated sigh, Brodie decided he was bored. "Dude," He breathed looking up at his brother.

Rune had his head buried in his hands. He was exhausted. The day had been so annoyingly long, he had pretty much been deprived of sleep for much too long. But still, the fact that his brother was in a hospital bed was not very cheery, and he simply couldn't sleep. Damn quidditch. He didn't even want to play anyway. Now look what happened. Brodie was fine, sure, he saw that now. But still, it made him panic, the whole ordeal, and panicking was exhausting. After a moment of silence, Rune's head started to spin, and he could finally feel it. Drowziness was starting to take over. Shadows started to grow. His eyes couldn't stay open anymore. All light was gone...he was falling...falling...
He looked up in surprise, gasping at the sudden sound. But it was just Brodie. Rune's heart thumped too hard in his chest. He exhaled in annoyance, leaned back in his chair and shook his head. "Dude...what? Don't scare me," he half snapped, half groaned in annoyance.

Moving slightly Brodie let out a small grunt of pain as the muscles in his sides spazed whiting his body. Looking up he say his brother jump then, as he realized it was only Brodie who'd spoken, he could see the annoyance in his brothers eyes. "Dude chill. Sorry. Just go back to sleep or whatever then. It wasn't important." Brodie pulled the blankets up so he was covered to the waist. However, his hirt was off and the skin that was exposed had scrapes and bruises all over. Not that Brodie himself really minded. He was used to it by now. After all if you want to be a professional quidditch player like he dreamed to be, you had to expect to fall off your broom. Sitting there in silence, Brodie slumped as much as he could without the pain coming back. He was bored. And he wanted someone to talk to and it seemed like Rune was going to be no help.

Rune winced when Brodie did, and regretted his annoyed manner almost immediately. The poor guy was in pain. So he hadn't slept...so what? He crossed his arms and shifted his eyes to the side. Clearly Brodie wanted to say something. Well, he was awake now. And they were brothers, right? Of course. He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Sorry, Bro. You just startled me." He shook his head and closed his eyes, letting his blond hair fall slightly into his eyes. He felt bad for snapping. But he felt even worse that his brother was so pained and scarred. Damn quidditch. Why did the boy have to pick that specific ambition? Rune preferred other things himself...like living"I'm awake now. Tell me." His eyes shifted again, to the wounds all over Brodie's body, and winced again. Why bother enduring that pain. It was just a game. Then again, Rune couldn't really understand...he didn't have the talent his brother did. Staying on a broom was challenge enough.

Brodie nodded his head fractionally as Rune said he was sorry. "Man honestly don't worry about it. It was my bad. You've been here forever waiting with me. I should have figured you'd be tired." Brodie ran his good hand through his mop of blonde hair. He needed a shower, but he doubted that he'd get one anytime soon. "We need to find a mediwitch so I can take that postion and go home." He grunted in pain once again. He was having a hard time sitting still and he needed to get around and move. But doing that, Brodie figured he'd only end up harming himself more. "And it was nothing really. Just quidditch on the mind again. Like always. Thinking about Irelands team this year. I want to make it But it'll mess up school... Unless.. No I wouldn't be aloud." Brodie sighed trailing off as he lay back down against the pillow. Maybe he was just over tired like his brother. Maybe what they both needed was sleep. Then they'd be able to think clearer.

He propped his elbows on his knees and dropped his head, trying to stifle a yawn, then shook his head lightly. "Whatever, Brody, I don't really care if I stay awake" Of course, he did. But he wasn't going to say that. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the conversation. Drowsiness was slowly starting to leave his body, which meant he wasn't going to be able to sleep for another handful of hours Ah, well...whatever. He nodded slowly in agreement. "Yeah, where are these idiots? We've been here for hours" His head lifted lightly and his eyes opened, but he stared at the floor as he listened to the younger twin jabber away about Quidditch. "That's great," he said feebly, with a slight smile. He lifted his head then and tilted it to the side. "Unless what? Brodie?" He couldn't possibly be thinking of dropping out. Not from school. They actually had a chance, Rune and Brodie, their blood was pure. But as always, he was being paranoid and too overly protective of his brother. He sighed and waited for an answer.

Brodie sighed as his brother said he really didn't care. Of course he did. It was Rune after all. Brodie had determined long ago that even though the two boys were twins and techinically were the same age, Rune tended to act as a more protective older brother. Sure, it was true he was older by like five minutes. But honestly, he didn't have to look out for Brodie the way he did. Brodie was able to hold his own and he hated when his brother didn't speak his mind because he was afraid of what? Hurting Brodie's feelings? They were brothers. Nothing would ever come between them.
Shrugging his good shoulder Brodie dismissed the topic of wheather his brother really wanted to be up or not. In all honesty, he didn't have any control over wheather Rune stayed up or went to bed. Just as Rune agreed with him, Brodie heard the dor swing open and saw the nurse come in with an arm full of potions. Quickly, she set up and mixed a combination of liquids together and then handed Brodie the vile. " Drink this and give it twenty minutes to work then you will be good to go."
Brodie sighed closed his eyes and raised the vile to his lips and, tippping his head back downed the contents in two gulps. Putting it down on the tray before the nurse walked away Brodie gagged opening his watering eyes slowly. "That's bloody discusting!" He breathed wipping his mouth with the sleeve on his good arm. Shaking his head as if to clear it, Brodie looked back at his twin.
"I could drop out of school," He stated simply leaning back into the pillows wincing ever so slightly trying not to show how much pain he was in. "It's not like we're learning anything worth while there anyways." He said looking at his twin to judge his reaction. "Or I could get a time turner and go full out for a year and burn myself out trying to live both lifes..." His voice trailed off. He didn't know much about time turners. Only what he'd read in a text book. But really. What harm could they do?

His eyes floated to the door as the nurse came in. He leaned back in his chair and watched her intently. Though he pretended, he let his mind wander a bit. Only half asleep, but intent on Brodie and his words. His mind wandered to the lake. How he longed for a swim just now, to rid his mind of disturbing thoughts. The cold lakewater would be perfect. For some reason, he couldn't help but feel bored all of a sudden. He was bored with his life, bored of routine...everything was falling into a cliche. Rune wanted to change. He had a crazy urge to do something insane, just for the sheer pleasure of doing it. He didn't care what it was. He would take on any dare now, just to rid himself of this tired exhaustion. He didn't know if Brodie felt the same, but he probably didn't. His twin already had his passion, and along with it came his risk. He had already formed a talent, and he was good at it. Rune felt like some idiot who didn't know how to do anything, and suddenly he needed to find out.
He pulled himself out of his thoughts as Brodie grimaced with disgust. He smirked a bit and shrugged. "You bring it upon yourself, mate," he said. He didn't really mean it, though he hated watching his brother in pain. Better watching him in pain then watching him live his life the way he was...like a zombie.
He frowned slightly at his words. His eyes were fixed on the face, too similar to his. It was almost like looking in a mirror. The only difference was the expression. Brodie was so much more free spirited and down to earth than Rune, who was just confusing and complicated. He sighed slightly. "Time turners are too complicated. It'll just get confusing and, really, it's pointless." He tilted his head to the side. If it would make Brodie happy..."I think you should go for it. I mean, if you really think you can. Go for it."

Brodie grimaced in pain as he leaned forward to put the glass back on the tray beside the bed. He figured he wasn't supposed to be moving and was supposed to let his bones heal. But Brodie had a problem with sitting still. He always needed to be moving and now more then ever he wanted to get up and go for a run just because he couldn't. Leaning ack against the pillows Brodie grinned his teeth in pain. When their dad found out what had happened he was surely going to kill Brodie for being an "idiot". Sure it was neither of the twins fault, but since it had to do with broken bones and sports, their dad was sure to give Brodie shit for this late night at St. Mungo's. "Most likely," Brodie said his eyes dreamy as he thought about Quidditch. "But I'd rather live free and die young doing somethign I love, then old and regretting not doing anything."
As Rune said that time turners were confussing, Brodie could only agree. However, it was the only way he could see himself getting both an education and being able to get himself started into the quidditch carreer that he dreamed of. Shock ran through Brodie's veins when his brother said that he should go for his dream. "Are you serious?" Brodie asked not sure if he'd understood correctly. He ws so used to Rune always trying to protect and shield him from the world that the fact Rune said go for it astounded Brodie. Staring at his twin a bit open mouthed Brodie couldn't think of what to say. "You won't.. You're not... " He struggled. "You're not going to try and stop me!?"

SOOO NOT DONE!!!!
His brother spoke, and as he did, there was a look in his eyes that caught Rune's attention. He looked like a dreamy fool. He spoke as if his life depended on the soul sport- it was all about quidditch. Rune couldn't help but smile as he watched Brodie speak with such depth. A strange tinge of jealousy grew somewhere in the back of his head, though he tried to ignore it, tried to focus mainly on what Brodie had said. A small sigh escaped his lips. "Live hard, die young," he whispered, registering the words into his brain. Why couldn't he, Rune, do that? could it be that he was too cowardly to take a risk? Worry pondered its way into him now. How strange, to feel so many confusing things in only a matter of seconds. He frowned. He couldn't let himself be a coward. His eyes, which had glazed over in slight thought, refocused now on Brodie's dreamy face. "How does it
