Walking through the dead hallways of the eerie hallways of Hogwarts, Simmy couldn't help but distort the surroundings around her in her mind. Instead of the gray stone walls on her left and right, they were black and shadowed. The shadows seemed to follow her to her perception of reality. Guilt was what the shadows were called. She had become attached to them, dubbing them a name and allowing them to follow her around like a lost puppy. Accompanied by these shadowed walls followed the shadowed eyes of the usual lively people around her. They became dead within her distorted world. No twinkle of light burned within their minds. They walked past her with pale eyes that seemed to become swallowed by the pupil. Arms hung limp at their sides and neither a smile or frown habited their face. It was dead and dull. Shadowed and guilt.
Trying to shake her head, ridding herself of this world, she found herself incapable of freeing herself of this self-torment. This side of her came out and she wanted to hide it from the world once more. Blinking her eyes twice she found herself growing some form of control over her mind but it was not enough. She needed light. She needed somebody. Walking down the grand staircase, the stairs seemed to move away from her destination making her trek down the floors longer than what it was supposed to be. Of course, it wasn't real, she only imagined it. Stepping on a staircase to go down a floor, it would move and she would find herself moving away from her goal. Paranoia at its worse.
Finally she got down to the bottom after her epic duel with the staircases and kept following the gradually growing crowds of maybe three to six people to the entrance hall. Hardly anyone was there either. Where was everyone? Oh yeah, most of the students at Hogwarts has either gone to Hogsmede, home for the weekend, or on the lawns. Sighing in relief at her sudden realization. Simmy stepped down the staircase and realized that the tap tap tap of her footsteps once again ran through her awareness. She was becoming that happy fourth year once more than her friends have come to adore. But she was just a liar wasn't she, acting like that when really her mind was torturing her?
Being a slight individual, Inari wore the black robe but a pair of black tights that ran down her legs to mid calf, a jean mini skirt that was just above mid-thigh, a black thick strapped tank top that went a bit past the hem of her skirt, and a tan thin strapped tank top that went over that and ended an inch above the black tank top. Her feet had a pair of black and white converses on them but she didn't mind how she dressed. Her blonde hair fell straight with some waves near the shoulders and her brown eyes scanned the room with decreasing paranoia.
A breath of relief escaped her when she reached the end of the staircase and jumped the last staircase in glee. She was rid of her paranoid curse for a couple more hours. That is, until she had to return inside and curfew fell upon the grounds. Rushing a bit to the intimidating doors that led to the outdoors, Simmy smiled and opened them and stepped outside before too much attention could be drawn to her. She was still getting over her little excursion in the castle. She felt so week and stupid for falling into that much depression over nothing. A feeling of apprehension arose within her as she looked around. She didn't know anyone well enough to go up to them and talk to them so she decided to go to the lake which for some reason always seemed less crowded. Stuffing her hands into the pockets of her robes, she walked down the path to the lake while looking at the reddened leaves of the trees that framed the grounds. For some reason, she never really was as alone as she felt inside when she was outside with all of natures' beautiful glory.
Reaching the lake she stood by the edge of the lake and squatted down so she was sitting on her heels, knees tucked together. Her arm rested in the little spoon she carved out as her other hand reached down onto the ground and picked up a warm colored leaf. It was such a beautiful sight to her to see something that was once green and lively fade to red only to return later in the year to its righteous green. It was a never ending constant. One thing was she was sure would never change on her no matter what happened around her.

His head spun. Was he asleep? Was he dreaming? Or was the blue hue of the sky really that magnetic? It could've all just been his insane imagination, or it could have been a reality he had never even bothered to admire. It could have been all part of a bliss dream. But it was there, nonetheless. Endless blue. And endless sky. Perfect. His back arched lightly as he squirmed gently on the grass. His eyes were half open, squinting up at the blue sky, admiring only the color. People surrounded him, some talking to their friends. A few girls, some blushing, others admiring, stared at him, though truth be told, he didn't even bother to acknowledge anybody. He was too busy staring at the sky. He could have been napping, for all he knew. He wasn't really all that sure. His hands were behind his head, making himself a pillow, and his legs were crossed over eachother. He wore jeans, and a white button-up shirt, all unbuttoned, his perfect physique visible to everyone. His feet were bare, his shoes and socks thrown aside.
Of course, his dreaming, or whatever it was, had to get interrupted. One particularly annoying, squealing girl, too young for him, really, started chatting him up. Clearly, she hadn't noticed he was off in Neverland. But it annoyed him to no prevail that she had to find out the hard way. Rune's eyes fluttered open, he stared at the girl from where he lay, and her cheeks flustered immediately. He rolled his eyes lightly before lifting himself off the ground with a simple jump and walking away. Normally he wouldn't have been so cold...he would have probably made some sort of remark, said something to her. But she was incredibly annoying, and he was in the middle of something. He walked away, picking up his shoes as he did. Now what? He wasn't in the mood to talk to regular people, and his twin Brodie was off...doing...well, who knew. Rune sighed. Life was slightly funner when Brodie was around.
He ended up wandering toward the lake. Very few people lingered there, maybe one or two. He eyed particularly one girl, who was just staring at a leaf. Well, she seemed to preoccupied to bother him. Next to a tree, he tossed his shoes to the side, and without hesitation took off the shirt, his jeans soon after, revealing black boxers with blue stripes. He stretched his arms over his head and yawned, his mouth twisted into a smirk. The little gasps behind him were more than enough for him to know that a lot of female eyes were on him, staring, no doubt. He couldn't help it-- he was a little flattered. Mostly annoyed, but a little flattered. Couldn't he swim in peace? His smirk fell off his face as he walked into the water. It wasn't as cold as he thought it would be, but he winced upon his entry anyway. Then he went under, sitting at the bottom of a shallow end of the lake. The water was about a foot above his head. Finally, it was quiet. He held his breath and closed his eyes.

Visions of the past where screams and flames seared across the filmstrip began reeling through her mind staring at the red dye of the leaf. It was horrible, growing up in war, only to run away to another war. It was the blind leading the blind and Symphanie could only allow them to tie the cloth around her eyes and spin her in circles. Dizzing from just thinking about it, she sat down and brough her knees close to her, allowing her shoes to just brush against the water edge.
Looking to her left when something began to feel...weird, she noticed a very attractive older guy looking her direction. Turning her head a bit so she looked at the leaf she smiled a bit to herself realizing she might have seemed a bit...out there as she stared at a leaf. Looking back at the boy she smiled sheepishly and waved smally. Focusing her attention back on the lake she let her thoughts wander again she remembered her old home...a home she never wanted to return to. Her family was safe now at least - protected by their blood status. It was a shame in her eyes to have such a trump card over some of her peers. She was also defenseless in this war. She could not help. All she could do was stare as the fire licked its way up the photograph.
Picking up a rock in her hands and tossing it lightly straight up, she watched it fall back to her hand and the only thoughts she could truly recall having were dark and depressing in nature. It scared her to think like this. When someone was near or talking to her she had no problem being happy. But alone...alone was when she turned like this. And that alone scared her enough... She tossed the rock, and watched with satisfaction as it made ripples along the surface.
A sigh that was heard around her broke her out of her trance and she saw a girl standing around fifteen feet away basically drooling over something. Following her gaze she saw the boy basically half-naked and jumping into the lake. So much for the modest British. She thought ironically and turned her attention to the lake with a small smile gracing her face.

It was sort of...enchanting, when the complete and utter silence took over. Of course, it wasn't completely silent. He could still here the muffled sounds above his head. He could hear the sudden splashes around him. He could sense the sudden presence of people. But he ignored it...just for a little while. His breath was tight and secure in his lungs, and he felt no need to come up for more. Not yet, anyway. He hoped the need would not come wandering up into him until the splashing and the people were well away. Too bad he wasn't a sea mammal. He had to be human. He squinted one eye open, feeling the sting as the lake water flooded into it. Great. Now he was blind. He shut his eye again, but registered the legs of females sticking into the water. And just moments later, he heard them calling his name. He rolled his eyes, despite the fact that they were closed.
His lungs started to protest. But Rune wasn't ready to pop up and be bombarded by girls in their bathing suits, or, much less, their undergarments. He glanced to the side, where he could barely hear anyone. A perfect escape. He swam off, hopefully without anyone noticing, just as his lung protestation began getting more than uncomfortable. He swam as far as he could, until he could no longer hear the muffled giggles and the splashing. His lungs screamed, and he broke through the surface, gulping for air. He stood, the water now to his waist, and glanced to the side. The bimbos were still looking around where they stood, and Rune stood unnoticed. He sighed, turned away, and almost froze. The girl from before, the one who stared at the leaf, was right in front of him. She stared at the lake, but otherwise had not moved, save for that small wave he could suddenly so clearly recall. Well....now what...
